I want everyone to know what a blessing you all have been in our lives. The last four years have been amazing. God has blessed us and will continue to bless us through our Maryville family. Leanne and I will be diving into a new ministry with new challenges and new opportunities, but we will continue to pray for and love our Maryville family. So many of you have poured into my life as well as the lives of Leanne and the children. Thank you so much for embracing us the way you have.

There seems to be an ever-widening disconnect between the older generation and the younger generation in our culture. Increasingly, our culture is becoming "youth-driven." Simultaneously, our population is becoming more "top heavy" with the aging of the baby boomers and the "graying of America." These two distinct groups tend to label one another, dismiss each other, and generally can't seem to identify with one another. This is evident not only in society, but in the church as well.

By Jack Cottrell

QUESTION: Calvinists say that Ephesians 1:1-11 clearly establishes the absolute and all-inclusive sovereignty of God, including the unconditional predestination of the elect to salvation. How do you interpret this text?

Minor Prophets
Randy Winstead

Staying in Love
Jonathan Jones II
Room 204

Is it possible for two people to fall in love and stay in love forever?  Falling in love is easy; staying in love requires a plan.  In this class we will study Biblical principles that can help strengthen your marriage and help you stay in love with your spouse.  Rekindle the romance.  Revive the commitment.  Restore the friendship.  Discover God's plan.  Rejoice in your marriage!  (This is a class for married couples or couples contemplating marriage in the near future.)

Our Christian Confidence
Bill Walt
Fellowship Hall

A study of Christian assurance based on the book Lord, Sometimes I Don't Feel Saved!  by C. Michael Moss. Christians today often struggle with the assurance of their salvation. It's an old, old problem. In the first century it didn't take long for a group known as the Gnostics to start undermining the faith of Christians. The Apostle John wrote the book of 1John to reassure Christians that they could indeed be confident in their salvation. We will examine this writing together, along with several other writings to help us come to a fuller assurance of our salvation.
